These terms apply to your use of this website and to any enquiry you submit through it. By submitting an enquiry you confirm that you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy.

Backed is an independent introducer. We collect a short set of details about your business and introduce you to a commercial finance provider that may be able to help.

We are not a lender, we are not a credit broker acting on your behalf, and we are not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

We do not give financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and nothing on this website should be treated as advice or a personal recommendation.

Our current funding partners are Capify, iwoca and FlexyKap (MaxCap). Depending on your business profile and each partner's criteria, your enquiry may be passed to one or more of them; where none can take it, we may pass it to Tera Business Finance. FlexyKap is a manual partner, so we may contact you for additional details before passing your enquiry on. After you submit, we show you which partners received your enquiry.

Our service is intended for UK incorporated businesses — limited companies and limited liability partnerships. It is not intended for consumers, sole traders, partnerships of three persons or fewer, or other unincorporated businesses. You must be at least 18 and authorised to submit the enquiry on behalf of the business.

• The information you give us is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
• You are happy for us and the finance provider we introduce you to to contact you about the enquiry by phone, email or SMS.
• Where you tick the soft credit search consent, you agree that a soft search may be carried out. A soft search is visible to you but does not affect your credit score.
• You will tell us if the information changes materially before an introduction is completed.

Nothing on this website, including any figure shown by the amount slider, is a quote, an offer of finance, an indication of what you will be offered, or a guarantee of approval. Any facility, its amount, rate, term, fees and conditions are determined solely by the finance provider following its own assessment, and are governed by that provider's own terms and privacy notice.

We receive a commission from the finance provider where an introduced business is funded. This does not create a cost payable by you to Backed — we do not charge you a fee for the introduction. Details of the commission arrangement are available on request.

You must not submit false, misleading or third-party information without authority, use the site or forms to attempt fraud, or interfere with the operation, security or availability of the website. We may refuse, withdraw or delete any enquiry we reasonably believe breaches these terms.

The content, branding, design and code of this website belong to us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own business use, but you may not copy, republish or commercially exploit them without our written permission.

We aim to keep the website available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and may change or suspend it at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or data, arising from your use of this website or from any decision made by a finance provider. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

If something has gone wrong, email ioan@backeduk.com and we will look into it. Complaints about a lending decision, a facility or a provider's own conduct should be raised with that provider under its complaints procedure.

We may update these terms. The version number and last updated date at the top of this page show the current version.

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
