Three things that won't happen.
A week of cold calls.
Your details go to one commercial finance partner. They're never auctioned, resold, or sprayed across a panel of brokers.
Damage to your credit file.
The check runs as a soft search — invisible to other lenders and harmless to your score. A hard search only happens later, if you choose to take a specific offer forward.
Weeks of silence.
Most businesses hear back the same working day. If the answer is no, you get the reason, not a dead inbox.

How it runs, start to finish.
- 1
Tell us the basics.
Roughly a minute: company type, how long you've traded, monthly turnover, the amount you want and what it's for.
- 2
We run the panel.
Your profile is checked against 50+ UK lenders with a soft search. The ones that fit come back with indicative terms, usually within hours.
- 3
Decide in your own time.
Take an offer or walk away. If you go ahead, funds typically land within 24–48 hours depending on lender and product.
Timings vary by lender and product. Nothing here is a guarantee of approval or of a specific amount.

Where Backed sits, and who pays us
Backed is an independent introducer — not a lender, not a broker. We confirm your business clears the basic criteria, then hand you to one commercial finance partner who runs the application, the lender matching and every regulatory obligation that comes with it.
When a business we introduce gets funded, the lender pays a commission and we take a share. You pay nothing at any stage. Your details are never sold and never sent to more than one partner.
The usual questions.
Does the check touch my credit score?+−
No. Matching runs on a soft search, which is invisible to other lenders and leaves your score alone. Only if you decide to take a specific lender's offer forward does a hard search happen — and you'll be told first.
Do you lend the money yourselves?+−
No. Backed is an introducer. We don't lend, and we don't make the credit decision.
What will this cost me?+−
Nothing, ever. The lender pays the broker a commission on completed deals and we take a share of that. You're never invoiced.
Who's going to call me?+−
One person, from one partner firm. Your details are not sold and not distributed to a panel of brokers.
I'm a sole trader — can I use this?+−
Not through Backed. The lender panel we work with covers UK limited companies only.
How much could my business get?+−
It depends on your turnover, trading history and the lender. Running the check is the quickest way to find out.
And if the answer is no?+−
You'll be told why. With 50+ lenders on the panel one decline doesn't end things — but nobody can promise you an offer.
