Start with the event your established UK limited company or LLP needs to fund. The routes a third-party provider may consider depend on the requirement, company circumstances and that provider's criteria; this hub does not recommend a product.

Stock and inventory
Buying stock often creates a timing gap: suppliers may need paying before goods are sold and customers settle. Stock finance, inventory finance and purchase-order finance are broad labels that can describe different structures; this guide explains how providers may assess the underlying requirement.
Equipment finance and machinery finance are broad search terms for structures used to acquire, replace or refinance business assets. Providers may assess both the company and the specific asset being acquired.
Contract finance and contract mobilisation finance are broad labels used where a new contract creates payroll, materials, equipment or setup costs before the first customer payment. Providers may examine the contract, cost plan and delivery record.
Taking or improving premises can involve deposits, building works, professional fees, equipment and a period before the site contributes revenue. Fit-out finance is a broad label for funding some or all of those project costs, subject to the structure and provider criteria.
Working capital is the cash used to meet day-to-day trading costs. A funding requirement is easier to assess when the timing gap and intended use are clearly defined.
Acquisition funding is assessed around both the buyer and the target business. Providers may examine valuation, earnings, integration risk and the proposed contribution from the buyer.
You can submit one structured funding enquiry describing the commercial requirement. Backed may introduce the company to one or more funding partners whose criteria may fit. Backed does not select a product, give financial advice or make a lending decision.
